Alice Barnes gets an Asgard ebike shed Alice Barnes & Her Maxess E-Pro Electric Bike Storage Shed.

Alice Barnes is a racing cyclist currently riding for UCI Women's WorldTeam Canyon–SRAM. Like many other cyclists both professional and amateur, Alice needed a secure space for her bikes and riding equipment. After our usual pre-shed chat, this seemed like an ideal opportunity to test-drive our new Maxess E Pro bike shed - an extra tall bike shed, designed with extra height for larger framed bikes. With limited space on the driveway, the perfect spot was near the existing “on trend” grey garden fence … perfect.  So off we went to Manchester to brave the traffic, the rain, and the wind…

Extra-High Asgard Bike Shed

This new extra tall shed has been designed to fit tourers, oversized bikes, and in particular the new large framed Electric Bikes. Based on our ever-popular Access range the Maxess E Pro has the same tough bike security features; Stainless Steel shrouded locking points, integral metal floor, reinforced doors and roof, and deadbolt locking, backed by 50 years of manufacturing excellence.  A large unit like this is perfect for oversized framed bikes or multiple smaller bikes.

“The new Maxess e-pro is a great new unit, all the security features of our Access range, but bigger!!  Perfect for larger bikes, and the charging points are really handy for all-electric bike owners, the option to lock away an e-bike and charge overnight is really handy”.

Electric bike charging points

Inside this extra large bike, shed are two electric socket mounting points, perfect for installing power to your bikeshed, ideal for charging electric bikes overnight ready for the morning commute, keeping your lights charged and ready for your night ride, or keeping the GPS topped up with power, ready for the next ride in the hills. Charging is possible when the shed is all locked up keeping your bikes safe and secure, thanks to the side mounted grommeted cable access holes.

“I am really impressed with how fast the shed went up. The quality is great and I have a great piece of mind having my bikes in there as it feels super secure. I also really like the colour which fits perfectly in which everything else in my garden.”  - Alice Barnes, Professional Cyclist

Bike Shed Installation: “This was a tricky one, as the base was not as level as it could have been! So, we packed up the unit to ensure the base was level using the supplied levelling shims, when the ground is on too big a slope we find the locking systems won't operate as they should, and the actual build can be tricky.  But we made this one work after a few minutes, with the aid of the packers”.  - Stuart Leddy, Asgard Installation
