Claire Cashmore MBE & Asgard Bike Storage
Paralympic swimming champion Claire Cashmore MBE, is the latest professional athlete to choose Asgard storage to store her sports equipment in. Claire was put in touch with us by her fellow teammates and Asgard owners!
A couple of friends recently bought an Asgard bike shed and were very happy customers. I agree the Asgard products and team are fabulous and 100 percent worth the investment." - Claire Cashmore MBE.
Who is Claire Cashmore?
Claire is a Paralympic swimming champion winning gold and silver in the Rio Olympics (2016) However, after assessing her career, she switched to become a Paratriathlon, becoming equally successful! Claire is currently the ITU (International Triathlon Union) World champion and has won a number of gold and silver medals throughout 2019. Claire also broke the world record in the SM9 100mm Individual Medley in 2009.
Claire may also be recognisable from Channel 4’s Meet the Superhumans campaign in 2012, as she was on billboards across the country and spoke openly about her disability. Claire will also compete in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics - good luck Claire!!
Why did Claire choose a Centurion Bike x6 shed?
The Centurion Bike Shed x6 is a great family bike storage (or for those who keep adding to their bike collection), but for Claire and her partner Dave Ellis (also a 3x ITU World and ETU European Champion holder), together they have a fair few bikes and sports equipment between them! Claire has had to be creative about training during the lockdown, cycling on bikes and turbo trainers and also creating a makeshift pool. The Centurion provides plenty of space to store a range of sports equipment. "The shed is amazing! It’s made such a difference having somewhere secure to put my bike. I am also hoping to use it as a turbo room for a bit of heat prep" - Claire Cashmore MBE. |

Security played an important role in Claire’s shed selection. Asgard storage provides just that! Every Asgard shed is packed full of innovative security features - From the tough, galvansied (weatherproof) construction, to the integral all metal based ideal for fixing to the ground. Add in the reinforced doors, welded hinges, and a fantastic pick-and-drill resistant lock and a shrouded (in thick steel) 5-point locking mechanism (with anti theft handle - designed to shear off in an attempted break-in) Claires Secured by Design Centurion bike shed is a great way to store her bikes, garden tools … even makeshift exercise equipment, for total piece of mind.
