Who Is Sam Brand? Sam Brand is a professional cyclist currently riding for Team Novo Nordisk, after achieving personal goals last season, Sam is set for a brilliant 2022 cycling season. He’s achieved impressive results wearing the King of the Mountains jersey for one stage at the Tour of Estonia and eventually finishing second overall in the mountains classification. Sam wasn’t always a professional cyclist, his routes started in triathlon following in his father's footsteps, and he has raced in the ITU World Championships and finished 2nd at the British Triathlon Championships! Sam switched to focus on cycling in 2015. Sam is also known for his Diabetes awareness campaigning which threads through his online presence, being an ambassador for Diabetes UK and JDRF UK. Diagnosed at the age of 10, Sam has embraced diabeties stating: “I always say that, “diabetes is the best thing that’s ever happened to me” and here’s why: it gave me a community, a team, a family and more over something above anything to fight for. I want to use my platform to change the lives of everyone affected by diabetes.
