Asgard sheds have full metal floors

Integral to the security of an Asgard shed is the built in metal shed floor.  All Asgard sheds come with a full metal floor as standard. Each integral metal base is made from the same tough, galvanised steel as the actual sheds - so you can be sure these are not flimsy thin bases - they are pretty tough!

Fixing your metal shed floor to the ground

Each Asgard shed base is pre-drilled to fit the supplied ground bolts - giving you the option to bolt your Asgard to the ground - for maximum security.   You do need a good solid base for bolting into, at least 50mm thick, the base needs to be firm and level.  Flagstones or concrete is ideal.  If you are unsure read our article and how to guides:

An Asgard shed base adds extra strength to the shed and improves the overall stiffness and security, by being an integral part of the structure.  Each shed panel is screwed INTO the base - for maximum security.  All screws and fixtures are fitted from the inside, for maximum strength and security.

Worried that you may damage the shed base?

Don't panic Asgard offer a range of shed subfloors.  These heavy-duty protective covers are made from OSB board, and each subfloor is pre-cut to the size of your shed, and batoned underneath for the perfect fit.  Just check the accessories section on each product page for the perfect fit.

Metal sheds with floor for extra security

The integrated metal floor in an Asgard shed means that the unit can be secured down into the ground by either bolting it down or using ground anchors to the concrete floor below. Fixing the shed base to the ground offers the highest level of protection as it means the shed itself cannot be lifted or moved around or broken into easily. We would always recommend choosing a metal shed with an integrated floor for maximum security for your garden.
